Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation to Yosemite, we can handle your every need. All of our rooms come with private bathrooms and most have fireplaces for a romantic setting or the perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day at the park. Our Yosemite and Oakhurst, CA accommodations are the perfect fit for your relaxing vacation.

The History of Queen's Inn by the River

Queen's Inn by the River is located in a site formally known as the Cedar Lane Lodge. Cedar Lane Lodge was built circa 1951 as a motel. It eventually closed and the buildings were converted for use for another business known as White Oaks Guest Home. In 1964, Nelson and Naomi Ashby, our beloved grandmother, whom we were never allowed to call grandma, or God forbid, granny, purchased the property. Recently, our family decided to completely renovate this beautiful property and bring it back to what it was originally intended to be, an Inn; a place where people can come and enjoy the surrounding beauty that our mountain area has to offer. In her memory, we have established "Queen's Inn by the River."

Idle Hour Winery & Kitchen

At Idle Hour Winery & Kitchen, we focus on single-varietal, single-vineyard designated wines from select California vineyards and make our wines with minimal intervention in the cellar. In our kitchen, we serve Mediterranean-influenced and handcrafted food and wine. Our restaurant is open daily for winetasting, lunch and dinner service, and Sunday brunch with our Mediterranean-inspired kitchen.

Our wine bar and beer garden is the perfect place to relax after a hard day at work or a full day of sightseeing. Listen to the sounds of the Fresno River and the many different types of wildlife that live on (and pass through) this Oakhurst property. We also offer live music events, wine tastings, and a variety of wine-related events.
