Our Story
At Charlotte Aquatics, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in the water. With over 90,000 swim lessons taught since 1996, we have spent decades perfecting our child-focused approach to teaching children of all ages and abilities the skill of swimming. Our dedicated team of instructors are passionate about teaching children not only how to swim, but also how to develop confidence, comfort, and competence in the water.
Our Philosophy
At Charlotte Aquatics, we have developed a unique philosophy centered around the 3 C's: comfort, confidence, and competence. We believe that by teaching children the fundamental skills of swimming, we are giving them a lifetime of fun and exercise. Our instructors are dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the students they instruct, and work tirelessly to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Our Team
Our leadership team is comprised of individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. President Allie Gaines is a certified business consultant who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. Director of Operations Stephanie Tomalis has been working with children for over two decades and has helped make children Safer, Healthier, and Smarter at Charlotte Aquatics since 2001. Our Training Coordinator, Megan M., is a former lifeguard who understands the importance of safety and thinks that swimming is a skill that all children need to know. Director of Programming Devyn is a competitive swimmer who has won multiple championships and is dedicated to giving back to the community. Our Social Media & Activities Coordinator, Ailani, is responsible for engaging with our community and creating fun and engaging activities for our students.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of children of all ages and abilities. Our swim lessons are tailored to accommodate children as young as 3 months old, as well as adults looking to improve their swimming skills. We also offer private lessons, intensive classes, and specialty classes for children with special needs. Our swim level goals program is designed to help children develop the skills and confidence they need to become proficient swimmers.
