The OT Circus is a New Mexico based non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting, investing, and encouraging artists and creatives of all abilities and backgrounds. Our mission is to build community and bring people together through various therapeutic methods and creativity. We believe that everyone has the potential to create something beautiful and meaningful, and we are committed to providing the resources and opportunities for individuals to do so.
Our story begins with a vision to connect the occupational therapy profession with the community of ABQ to create art, music, and friendships. Since then, we have grown into a thriving community of artists, creatives, and therapists who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
Our Programs
At the OT Circus, we offer a variety of programs and services that are designed to support and empower individuals of all abilities. Our programs include:
- Pop-Up Art Shows: We host pop-up art shows that showcase the work of local artists and creatives. These events provide a platform for individuals to share their work with the community and connect with other artists.
- Community Outreach: We are committed to giving back to the community, and we do this through various community outreach initiatives. We partner with local organizations to provide art and creative activities to individuals who may not have access to them otherwise.
- Monthly Artist Markets: Our monthly artist markets feature local makers, crafters, and community organizations. These markets provide a space for individuals to sell their work and connect with other creatives.
Our Team
Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. We are led by our Executive Director, Victoria Van Dame, who has over 18 years of experience as an occupational therapist. Our team also includes Veronica Garcia, our Secretary, and Whitney Caje, a board member. We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
