Our Story
Knostman Family Winery is a family-owned and operated winery, established in 2019, nestled along the scenic North Umpqua River in Roseburg, Oregon. We are a small, boutique winery with a passion for crafting exceptional wines that reflect the beauty and uniqueness of our surroundings.
Our Winemaking Philosophy
We believe in creating wines that are true to their varietal character, with minimal intervention during the winemaking process. Our purpose is to showcase the natural flavors and qualities of each grape variety, resulting in wines that are both approachable and sophisticated.
Our Estate Vineyard
Our 4-acre vineyard is planted with a variety of white and red grape varieties, including Muscat, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Syrah. We carefully tend to our vineyard to ensure that each grape receives the utmost care, resulting in exceptional quality and consistency.
Our Wines
Our wine portfolio is comprised of small lots, ranging from 25 cases to 125 cases, depending on the varietal and yearly production. Our wines are made in a fruit-forward style, with slow and cool fermentations to preserve the natural flavors and aromas of the grapes. Reds are barrel-aged for 8 months or longer to add complexity and depth to the wines.
