Helping Others Be and Do Better

At our agency, we believe that mental health is a top priority, and self-care is a necessity. We understand that life is unpredictable, and sometimes we face stress, difficult emotions, or painful life circumstances that can be overwhelming. These challenges can stem from various sources, including life transitions, loss, work stress, or relationship issues. It can be tough to navigate these experiences and the emotions that come with them. You may find yourself feeling stuck and in need of some guidance on how to manage or cope with these challenges.

Our Approach

As a licensed psychologist, my goal is to collaborate with you to address your most important issues. I believe that every therapist has a unique style that works for them, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I strive to create a safe, trusting environment where we can communicate openly and honestly with each other.

My Style

My therapeutic style is open, genuine, and direct, yet humorous. I believe that it's essential to create a trusting and safe space where we can communicate freely. We will work at your pace, addressing the issues that are most important to you. My aim is to facilitate and promote your personal growth and change in a number of ways.

Clinical Approach

My clinical approach is integrative, and I tailor my approach to your needs and style. I utilize techniques from various evidence-based therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and mindfulness-based approaches. I also work from a strengths-based model, focusing on your unique strengths and abilities.

About Me

I am a licensed psychologist in both California (PSY27921) and Washington (PY61358351). I have a private practice in the SF Bay Area, working with teens and adults in individual therapy. In addition, I am a psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, heading the Intensive Outpatient Program team and providing group therapy to adults in psychiatric crises. I also work as a mental health clinician for the San Mateo County correctional facilities, providing crisis management and coping skills to inmates.

Education

I earned my BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California, while minoring in social work and consumer behavior. I then earned my MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, with a Child and Family emphasis. During my graduate training, I focused on multiple settings, including outpatient community clinics, a non-public high school, college counseling, juvenile detention centers, adult correctional facilities, and outpatient hospital clinics.

Personal

When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, trying new food, restaurants, and experiences. I'm an avid cook and experiment with new recipes. I also love spending time outdoors with my family and dog. As a sports fan, I root for Los Angeles-based teams.

Why Choose Me

As a licensed psychologist, I am dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges and promoting your personal growth and change. I am passionate about empowering individuals to tap into their inner strengths, pursue their values, and live a fulfilling life.
