Our story began in 2003 when our main baker, Johana Cunliffe, decided to turn her passion for baking into a reality. With the encouragement of friends and family, Johana founded Latin Bakery Austin, with the goal of bringing a taste of Latin America to the city of Austin.

Johana's love for baking began at a young age, watching her Abuela prepare traditional Latin American desserts and breads. She learned the art of baking from her grandmother and soon became skilled in crafting delicious treats. After moving to the United States, Johana realized there was a gap in the market for authentic Latin American baked goods. She saw an opportunity to share her passion with others and decided to open her own bakery.
