Our History
Founded on the shores of Portage Bay, Seattle Yacht Club has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. Over the years, we have evolved to become one of the premier yacht clubs in the Pacific Northwest, known for our stunning facilities, excellent service, and warm hospitality.
Our Amenities
As a member of Seattle Yacht Club, you'll have access to a range of amenities designed to enhance your sailing and social experience. Our Portage Bay Mainstation features casual and fine dining restaurants, banquet and meeting facilities, guest moorage, and permanent moorage (subject to availability). Our Elliott Bay Outstation offers additional facilities, including discounted moorage (subject to availability). We also have 10 Outstations located throughout the Pacific Northwest, providing our members with a wide range of cruising and sailing opportunities.
Sailing and Racing
At Seattle Yacht Club, we're passionate about sailing and racing. Our Sailing program offers a range of activities, including Adult Sailing Lessons, Youth Summer Sailing School, Junior Racing, and Regattas throughout the year. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or just starting out, we have a program designed to meet your needs and interests.
Powerboating
Many of our members enjoy cruising the waters of the Pacific Northwest in powerboats. We offer 10 Outstations, located from Gig Harbor in the south to Cortes Bay in the north, providing our members with a range of cruising opportunities. Our members also enjoy exploring the fresh water lakes and enjoying their time on the water.
Membership
At Seattle Yacht Club, we welcome applications for membership from Northwest boaters ages 10+ who share our passion for the water and maritime lifestyle. Our members enjoy a range of benefits, including use of our facilities, discounted moorage, and reciprocal privileges to over 225 other yacht clubs around the world.
