At Andis Wines, our mission is to handcraft wines that are a pure expression of the soil. We are a cutting-edge winery based in Amador County, California, working in collaboration with internationally-celebrated winemakers to create exceptional wines that showcase the unique characteristics of our region.

Our History

With a shared vision to create world-class wines, co-founders Janis Akuna and Andrew Friedlander left their marking to pursue their passion for winemaking. In 2009, they replanted a portion of their vineyard and built a state-of-the-art winemaking facility with the aim of producing sustainable, high-quality wines. Over the years, they have been joined by an impressive team of winemakers, including Philippe Melka, Mark Fowler, and Natalie Nicastro, who have collectively contributed to the development of our exceptional wines.

With a focus on local varieties, we use cutting-edge techniques to coax the best from our grapes.
