Nevada Family Psychiatry is a comprehensive child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry practice located in downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada. Founded by Jay Somers, PA-C, DHSc, in 2004, our practice provides a wide range of services to patients of all ages, from children to adults, and welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+, spiritual, religious, and non-religious communities.

Our Team
Nevada Family Psychiatry is led by Jay Somers, PA-C, DHSc, a nationally certified physician assistant with over 25 years of experience in psychiatry. Mr. Somers is a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and holds a master's degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School and a Doctorate of Health Science from AT Still University. He has published several studies on various mental health topics and has served as president of the National Association of PAs in Psychiatry and the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants.
