At Ocean Experience, we have been proudly serving the San Diego community for over 30 years, making us San Diego's oldest and most trusted surf school. Founded in 1990, our mission is to empower students of all ages and abilities to experience the thrill of surfing and skateboarding. With our proven learn-to-surf method and expert instructors, we ensure a fun and safe learning experience that builds confidence, ensures success, and empowers students to surf for life.
Our Services
At Ocean Experience, we offer a wide variety of camps and clubs throughout the year. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, our knowledgeable and experienced staff will help you reach your goals. We offer daily group and private surf lessons, as well as summer camps and skate camps. Our expert instructors are ocean safety, water rescue, first aid, and CPR certified to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Summer Camps
Our summer camps are designed to provide a fun and educational experience for kids of all ages. We offer full-day and half-day camps, as well as week-long camps during the summer months. Our experienced instructors will provide comprehensive instruction, building confidence and ensuring success. We strive to instill confidence in kids while learning new sports, improving skills, and connecting with other kids. Our summer camps are designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun for all ages.
Clubs
At Ocean Experience, we also offer a range of clubs throughout the year. Our clubs are designed to provide a fun and interactive experience for kids and adults alike. From surf clubs to skate clubs, we have a club to suit your interests. Our clubs provide a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and have fun while staying active.
Our Locations
At Ocean Experience, we are proud to be located in San Diego, with instruction centers in Mission Beach and Ocean Beach. Our beachfront locations provide stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and our expert instructors are dedicated to providing a fun and safe learning experience.
Donate
At Ocean Experience, we are committed to giving back to our community. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of surfing and skateboarding, regardless of their financial situation. That's why we offer scholarships and donations to at-risk youth and disabled students. Your contribution goes directly towards providing these camps and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the thrill of surfing and skateboarding.
Partnerships
At Ocean Experience, we partner with the Peninsula Surf Club, a 503(c) non-profit organization. Together, we provide surf and skate camps to underprivileged children and offer scholarships to students who may not have the means to participate in these activities.
