Your Path to a Healthy, Beautiful Smile

Our Mission and Values

Tustin Shaolin Martial Arts is a traditional Chinese Kung Fu school dedicated to providing a comprehensive martial arts education that develops the whole person - physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our mission is to cultivate a community of martial artists who are not only skilled in the techniques and traditions of Shaolin Kung Fu, Praying Mantis, and Tai Chi, but also humble, respectful, and aware of their place in the world.

Our History

Our school was founded by Doug Autenrieth, a seasoned martial artist and military veteran with over 30 years of training and instruction experience. Doug's background in martial arts and military training spans three decades, and he has had the privilege of competing in international martial arts competitions, including the First World Cup Tai Chi Chuan Championship Tournament in Taiwan.

Our Instruction

At Tustin Shaolin Martial Arts, we believe in a holistic approach to martial arts training. Our instructors are dedicated to providing a supportive and challenging environment that fosters personal growth, self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of the martial arts. We offer a range of classes and programs designed to meet the needs and goals of students of all ages and skill levels.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on the traditional Chinese martial arts systems of Shaolin Kung Fu, Praying Mantis, and Tai Chi. These systems are characterized by their focus on inner power, fluid movement, and harmonious interaction between body and mind.

Shaolin Longfist

The Shaolin system is often described as being like water. It is fluid and flexible, with a consistent, relentless power that will often follow a path of least resistance along its course. This system is ideal for those who seek a more nuanced and subtle approach to martial arts training.

Praying Mantis

Praying Mantis, also known as Tang Lang Chuan, is a martial arts system that is styled after the physical appearance, movements, and seemingly even the attitude of the insect by the same name. This system is perfect for those who appreciate the beauty and adaptability of the praying mantis.

Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan, also known as the Grand Ultimate Fist system, is considered to be the most highly evolved system of internal martial arts. Emphasis is placed on proper breathing and visualization coordinated with physical movement in order to cultivate chi, or life energy. This system is ideal for those who seek a more spiritual and meditative approach to martial arts training.

We are proud to share the testimonials of our satisfied students and their families. Whether you are seeking a traditional martial arts education, self-defense training, or simply a fun and challenging workout, we have a program that is right for you.
