College Facilities and Resources
The college offers excellent facilities, including newly refurbished buildings, high-standard teaching, and a range of resources. The Learning Resource Centre provides an open learning area and internet-enabled PCs, while computer suites accommodate classes. A large workshop area is dedicated to Motor Vehicle courses, with vehicles donated by manufacturers for student and college use. Other facilities include traditional engineering workshops, materials labs, electrical/electronic and pneumatics labs, and a 3D design area for model-making.
Teaching and Support
The college's teaching and support services are highly regarded. The Working Experience and Supported Internship Coordinator offers 1:1 mentoring, counselling, and support for maths and English. The staff are described as helpful and friendly, while many companies, including Alstom, Cable and Wireless, Jaguar Landrover, Rolls Royce, and Telent, send their apprentices to the college.
