Our office is centrally located in the greater Harrisburg area, and our team of experts holds Professional Engineering licenses in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio, as well as licenses in Geology, Surveying, Blasting for Surface Mining, Sewage Treatment Plant Operation, and Sewage Enforcement.

Our History

Akens Engineering Associates was founded in 1983 by George Akens and has remained a family business ever since. Our business practice is built on integrity and honesty, and we have maintained these core principles over the years. In 2008, Scott Akens and Rick Caranfa took over the business, but our commitment to honesty and integrity remains unchanged. With over 30 years of experience, we understand the importance of building strong relationships with our clients and providing them with exceptional service.
