At O2 Yoga, we are passionate about creating a community that fosters growth, connection, and transformation through the practice of yoga. Our story began over 27 years ago, when our founder, Mimi Loureiro, opened her first yoga studio. Since then, we have evolved to become a leading yoga studio, offering a unique system that combines the philosophy of the eight-limbed path of Patanjali with a strong anatomical focus.

Our Philosophy

At O2 Yoga, we believe that yoga is a natural extension of the physical and energetic body. We recognize that a centered, grounded, and peaceful life is achievable through the practice of yoga. Our system is designed to harness all the good energy, focusing it on one point to create a more harmonious individual and a more peaceful world.

Meet Mimi Loureiro

Mimi Loureiro is the founder and owner of O2 Yoga. With a BS in nutrition, a BA in psychology, and an MS in exercise physiology, Mimi has a deep understanding of the human body and its potential. She has been living and breathing her dream of being a full-time yoga teacher since creating O2 Yoga in 1998. Her infectious enthusiasm and love for teaching come through in everything she does.

O2 Yoga System

Our system at O2 Yoga is athletic, empowering, energizing, and life-changing. We draw from the philosophy of the eight-limbed path of Patanjali, and our classes are designed to challenge and inspire students of all levels. Our instructors have undergone our 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Program, ensuring that each class is tailored to meet the needs of our students.

Getting Started

For those new to O2 Yoga, we recommend starting with our Basics classes. These classes break down the foundations of the kind of yoga students will experience in our progressive style classes. Students will have the opportunity to learn the vinyasa (Sun A) and understand the breath, locks, and prop usage. Once students have a solid understanding of the basics, they can move on to our Intermediate and Power level classes.
