Empowering Lives, Healing Families, One Connection at a Time

ACT (All Cooperating Together) for Mental Health is a non-profit organization that has been bringing communities closer together by providing quality, affordable mental health counseling and educational services for over 50 years. Our mission is to support, encourage, and facilitate better mental health, increase self-esteem, and enhance abilities and skills to cope with everyday living.

Our History

ACT was incorporated in 1956, and has a rich history of innovation and therapy. Our journey began with the client-managed "Fireside Friendship Club" for persons with serious mental illness. Over the years, we have diversified our services to include individual, family, and group therapy, with a focus on parent-child reunification, child trauma, and healing families.

Our Therapists

Our team of compassionate therapists are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients. Our staff includes licensed psychologists, therapists, counselors, and associate therapists practicing under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional. Our therapists are committed to building strong connections with our clients, and work with them to create a personalized treatment plan that meets their unique needs.

Our Services

At ACT for Mental Health, we offer a wide range of services designed to support our clients on their journey to better mental health. These services include:

  • Counseling/Therapy: We offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions to help our clients cope with the challenges of everyday living.

  • Support Groups: We offer support groups for our clients to connect with others who share similar experiences.
  • Clinical Internships: We provide clinical internships for students and recent graduates in the field of mental health.
  • Support Us: We rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue providing our services to the community.
