Lorien Health Services is a family-owned and operated organization that was founded in 1977 by Nicholas and Mary Mangione. Their vision was to provide Maryland's seniors with the pride, dignity, and joy they deserve. Today, our Chief Executive Officer, Lou Grimmel, is committed to the Mangiones' vision of always looking forward and putting the patient first. We care about our residents and their families, and hope that shows in how we treat every senior both in our facilities and in the comfort of their own homes.

We offer a wide range of services to meet the unique needs of our residents. These services include Assisted Living, Sub-Acute Rehab / Skilled Nursing, Dialysis, Korean Senior Care, Parkinson's Wellness, Ventilator Care, Rehabilitation / Therapy, Respite Care, TeleMedicine, Hospice Services, and Tracheotomy Care. We also offer Lorien at Home, a program that brings our high-quality care and services to the comfort of our residents' own homes.

With 9 community-focused facilities in Baltimore, Howard, Harford, and Carroll counties, we offer a range of options to suit the needs of our residents. Our locations include Bel Air, Bulle Rock, Columbia, Elkridge, Encore, Harmony Hall, Mays Chapel, Mt. Airy, and Taneytown.
