Washington Dance Studio

At Washington Dance Studio, we are passionate about inspiring the art of dance in our students. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, we have been motivating, captivating, and inspiring students with our constructive approach to the art of dance since 1970. Our skilled instructors, Sharron Washington and Jennie Washington Stout, co-owners and professional dance instructors, bring a wealth of expertise and education to help your child discover the style of dance that best suits them.

Our Philosophy

We believe that dance is one of the best learning experiences that parents can provide for their children. Our locally-focused dance education center is committed to providing a warm, humorous, and common-sense approach to dance education. We strive to create a nurturing environment where students can grow, learn, and thrive. Our goal is to inspire young dancers to excel not only in dance but also in life.

Our Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility features two 30' x 50' studios lined with 40' of mirrors running parallel to professionally-structured ballet barres, as well as our new third studio (WDS "Annex") located across the street. Our upstairs and downstairs studios provide a professional-grade Marley floor, providing an optimum learning environment. Our temperature-controlled studios, dressing room, and bathroom facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for our students and parents.

Our Services

We offer a complete range of dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels. From Creative Movement and Pre-Dance to Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Ballet/Jazz Combo, Tap, Lyrical, and Hip Hop, we have something for everyone. Our classes are carefully designed to help students develop their skills, build confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for dance. We also offer Summer Programs, Annual Recital, and Performing Companies to provide additional opportunities for our students to shine.
