Poor Management and Unpleasant Experience
The reviewers are extremely dissatisfied with the management company, Anterra, and their experience at Carmel at Deerfield Apartments and other properties managed by Anterra.
Rent Increase and Poor Maintenance
Reviewers experienced a significant increase in rent, sometimes exceeding $100 per year, which is unacceptable to them. The apartments are also infested with cockroaches, and the maintenance is poor, with the company painting over dirty buildings to justify the rent increase.
Lack of Communication and Unprofessional Staff
Reviewers encountered unresponsive and unprofessional staff, including property managers who failed to return calls, made false promises, and were rude to residents. This led to frustration, tears, and a sense of hopelessness among residents.
Disregard for Residents' Needs
The company is accused of not caring about the well-being of its residents, as seen in the case of a resident who was left homeless due to the company's unwillingness to accept rent payment. Another reviewer's mail was not forwarded, causing inconvenience and distress.
