Disappointment and Neglect
WRS acquired a large mill in Knoxville in 2019 with high hopes of transforming it into a multi-use space. However, three years later, the site has received no maintenance at all, and the building has been left in a state of disrepair. The situation has only worsened, as the building was set on fire in January 2022 due to the presence of squatters who have taken up residence within the structure. This situation serves as a warning to communities that WRS has a history of acquiring properties with grand plans, only to neglect and abandon them once they feel like it's no longer convenient.
Undesirable Experience
The experience with WRS has been a nightmare for the community. The lack of maintenance and care for the property has led to a range of issues, including the presence of squatters and the risk of fire. The community is left to deal with the consequences of WRS's negligence, and it's clear that the company is not interested in taking responsibility for its actions.
