Our Services
We offer a range of services, including art therapy, verbal counseling, play therapy, and online/virtual counseling. Our therapists specialize in various areas, such as mood symptoms and disorders, relationships, women's issues, transitional life changes, adjustment, work stressors, family life management, communication, LGBT needs, managing medical conditions, stress, grief/loss, aging, change, trauma/PTSD, and substance abuse. We also provide counseling services for children, focusing on mood changes, acting out in school, distractibility, attachment, abuse, shyness, anger, and more.
Meet Our Team
Our team of experienced therapists includes Laura S. Maloney, ATR-BC, LPC, LMFT, BC-TMH, Stephanie Gagnon, LCSW, Eleanor Lampell, ATR-BC, LPC, Melissa Avant, ATR, LPC, CSAC, and Stacey O'Toole, LCSW. Our therapists have extensive experience in short-term, solution-focused psychotherapy, art therapy, verbal counseling, and play therapy. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to each client.
Insurance and Payment
We accept various insurance plans, including Optima, Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, Optum/United Behavioral Health, Magellan, GEHA, UMR, and Medicaid. We also offer self-pay options and sliding scale rates for residents in counseling. Please note that we do not accept same-day crisis clients, and new clients are required to complete an intake form and register for our patient portal.
Our Offices
Our offices are located at 821 West 21st Street, #209 & #210, Norfolk, VA 23517. Some of our providers are available for in-person sessions, while others offer online/virtual counseling. We have a secure patient portal for easy communication and scheduling.
Getting Started
If you're interested in becoming a new client, please complete our intake form and text us at (757) 280-1777 with your name, email, and date of birth. We will verify your insurance and determine if our practice is a good fit for your needs. Please allow 1-3 business days for our administrative staff to respond.
