Our practice serves a wide variety of individuals, primarily working with individuals reporting depression and anxiety. We work with children as young as seven, as well as older adolescents and adults, and pride ourselves on being able to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Our Approach to Psychotherapy
At our practice, we believe that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering experience. Our goal is to help individuals achieve a more hopeful and balanced life, beyond mere symptom relief. We take the time to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with each patient, incorporating various elements such as goals and expectations for outcome, open communication, and the creation of a trust-filled environment.
Our Therapeutic Approaches
We take a pragmatic and experience-based approach to therapy, emphasizing coping skills, resilience, and each individual's strengths. We also recognize the critical role that emotions play in decision-making and strive to understand and respect this aspect of human experience.
Specialized Services
In addition to individual psychotherapy, we offer groups and psychological testing and assessment services. We are experienced in working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, as well as individuals from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. We have particular expertise in working with bilingual patients, conducting assessments and providing therapy in both English and Spanish.
