Villicana Winery & Re:Find Distillery

At Villicana Winery, we are dedicated to creating exceptional, handcrafted wines that reflect the unique terroir of Paso Robles. Our story began in 1990 when Alex Villicana, our winemaker and owner, took a job working the harvest at a local Paso Robles winery. This marked the beginning of his journey to become a master winemaker. Alex's passion for winemaking led him to take viticulture and enology classes at U.C. Davis, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the art of winemaking.

Our Vineyard

Our 13-acre vineyard is planted with a diverse selection of varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc. We personally planted our vineyard to ensure that we have total control over every aspect of grape production. Our vineyard is located in the Westside of Paso Robles, where the calcareous, nutrient-deficient limestone soil produces rich, concentrated wines.

Our Winemaking Process

At Villicana Winery, we believe that the key to producing exceptional wines is to focus on quality over quantity. We produce fewer than 2,000 cases annually, which allows us to handcraft each vintage and create wines that are truly memorable. Our winemaker, Alex Villicana, is solely responsible for every step of the winemaking process, from farming the vineyard to bottling the wine. This ensures that every aspect of our winemaking process is of the highest quality.

Our Tasting Room and Experience

Our tasting room is nestled in the heart of our working winery, allowing visitors to experience the art of winemaking firsthand. Alex and his wife, Monica, are often found working in the cellar, and visitors are encouraged to ask questions and learn about the winemaking process. We also offer a peaceful setting for picnics, making us the perfect destination for a relaxing day out.

Club Membership

Our wine club, Villicana Wine Club, offers wine enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the best of our award-winning wines. As a member of the wine club, you will receive exclusive access to limited-production wines, priority access to new releases, and invitations to exclusive events and tastings.

RE:FIND Distillery

In 2011, we launched RE:FIND Distillery, which has become a pioneering spirits brand on the Central Coast. We use all natural, premium local ingredients and distill 100% of our spirits in-house at our winery/distillery in Paso Robles. Our vodkas and gin are made from the prized free-run juice from premium Paso Robles red wine grapes, ensuring that every bottle is a masterpiece of craft distilling.
