Welcome to Newington Music, where we offer a comprehensive range of music lessons and entertainment services. Founded by Michael Montgomery, a seasoned musician and educator, our mission is to provide high-quality music education to students of all ages and skill levels. Michael's extensive experience includes studying at The Hartt School / University of Hartford, where he majored in Classical Percussion Performance, and he has been playing piano and percussion for over 40 years.

Our services include private in-person and online music lessons in piano, drums, guitar, bass, and more. We also offer studio recording and music production services. Whether you're looking to start music lessons, prepare for college or regional auditions, or simply enjoy music as a hobby, we have a program tailored to meet your needs. Our lessons are designed to be engaging, fun, and tailored to each student's learning style.

We serve students from age 4 to 64 and have worked with special needs children. Our approach is patient and caring, ensuring that every student feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential. We also host recitals for all students who want to participate, including performances at notable venues like the New Britain Rock Cats (now the Hartford Yard Goats).
