Macri School of Music was established in 2002 in Plainville, CT under the direction of Frank Macri, who brings over 25 years of teaching experience to the table. Frank's vision was to create an innovative educational environment that catered to all the needs of a budding or evolving musician. At Macri School of Music, students can develop and hone their skills in private lessons, cultivate network contacts, participate in informal concerts or jam sessions, and attend various skill-building workshops. We provide a well-rounded musical experience for our students, nurturing their creativity, growth, and confidence.

Services Offered

At Macri School of Music, we offer a dynamic range of lesson plans for students of all ages and skill levels. Our innovative and comprehensive personal music lesson program is tailored to meet the unique goals and interests of each student. We provide instruction in various instruments, including:

• Guitar Lessons: Our guitar lessons cover all styles and levels, from absolute beginners to experienced musicians looking to improve their skills. Our talented and experienced teachers can help you master Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Metal, Country, Folk, or any other style. Students will have the opportunity to apply what they've learned in lessons through concerts and workshops throughout the year.
• Piano Lessons: Our piano lessons are designed to help students develop proper technique, reading skills, and musicality. We offer instruction in various styles, from classical to jazz and pop.
• Bass Lessons: Our bass lessons cover all styles and levels, from beginner to advanced. Students will learn proper technique, theory, and how to play in a variety of musical styles.
• Acoustic Guitar Lessons: Our acoustic guitar lessons focus on fingerstyle techniques, chord progressions, and songwriting.
• Rock Guitar Lessons: Our rock guitar lessons focus on developing proper technique, learning popular rock songs, and exploring improvisation.
• Blues Guitar Lessons: Our blues guitar lessons focus on learning blues scales, chords, and progressions, as well as the history and style of blues music.
• Jazz Guitar Lessons: Our jazz guitar lessons focus on learning jazz chords, scales, and theory, as well as improvisation and the style of jazz music.

Our Approach

At Macri School of Music, we recognize and appreciate the individuality of each student. We believe that everyone possesses the ability to create music, and our talented faculty is dedicated to teaching students as early as 6 years old to adults. We offer a variety of programs on an individual and group basis, providing musical opportunities for everyone. Our instructors are highly experienced, professionally educated in music, and have been teaching privately for a minimum of 10 years.

We believe that everyone learns differently, which is why we customize each lesson to best fit each student's needs and desires. Our individualized private lessons for all ages and skill levels are conveniently arranged with an instructor for an available time slot that suits you.
