Dr. Hava E. Mendelberg is a seasoned clinical psychologist with extensive experience in individual psychotherapy. She specializes in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, or overwhelming stress, helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their goals and aspirations. Dr. Mendelberg's theoretical orientation is psychoanalytic, but she adapts her approach to each patient's unique needs, drawing from various therapeutic modalities such as dynamic, cognitive, behavioral, and existential psychotherapies.
Dr. Mendelberg's expertise is backed by a wealth of experience as the director of outpatient psychotherapy clinics and inpatient programs and as a supervisor of psychiatric residents, psychology interns, and psychotherapists. She has also founded and developed a multidisciplinary clinic, taught at universities and medical schools, and published research on mood disorders and articles about diverse psychological issues. Moreover, she has served as a psychologist consultant in the US, Israel, and Latin America.
Dr. Mendelberg earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, following a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology and a Masters Degree in Behavioral Disabilities. Her academic background also includes studies in psychology and art at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, and at the Universidad of Madrid, Spain. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew.
