Our History

Squarehead Painting Co. Inc. has a rich history spanning over five decades. Founded in 1973 by Einar Skretting, the company quickly gained recognition as a leading provider of commercial painting and wallcoverings in Maryland. Einar's dedication to quality and craftsmanship laid the foundation for the company's success. In 1997, Jim Millner, a skilled painter with a passion for the industry, joined the Squarehead team as a supervisor. Impressed by Jim's abilities and commitment, Einar offered Jim a partnership, and by 2000, Jim had ascended to the position of Vice President. Recognizing Jim's immense potential, Einar entrusted him with the opportunity to purchase Squarehead in 2004, marking a significant chapter in the company's evolution. Under Jim's leadership, Squarehead Painting has flourished. He brought on his wife, Michele Millner, in 2006, as co-owner and Vice President. Together, they have steered the company towards new heights, expanding its services and strengthening its position in the market.
