Our family-owned and operated winery is steeped in history and tradition, dating back to 1970. We're proud to be a part of the Hoffmann Family of Companies, a respected name in the wine industry.
Our Story
Montelle Winery's journey began with Clayton Byers, a pioneering winemaker who founded the winery in 1970. Tony Kooyumjian, a renowned winemaker, took the reins in 1998 and continued to craft exceptional wines. In 2021, Montelle Winery joined forces with Augusta Winery, and in 2023, the Hoffmann Family of Companies acquired both wineries.
