Augusta Winery is a premier wine producer located in the scenic town of Augusta, Missouri, nestled on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River Valley. With a rich history dating back to 1988, our winery has been producing award-winning wines for over three decades.
Our Story
Founded by Tony Kooyumjian in 1988, Augusta Winery is situated in the first U.S. Wine District, or Viticultural Area #1, recognized in 1980. Our unique soil, climate, and historical significance make our wines truly exceptional.
Our Mission
At Augusta Winery, we are dedicated to producing high-quality wines that showcase the best of our terroir. Our expert team is trained to educate and excite our customers about the merits of our wines and how to enjoy them to their fullest. We take pride in our wines, which are vinted in small quantities to ensure special care is given to each lot. This attention to detail has earned us multiple gold and silver medals in international wine competitions across the US.
Our Team
Our team consists of highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals who are passionate about wine. With a focus on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices, our vineyards are managed by lifelong viticulturist Paul Hopen. Our cellar master, James Hogan, works diligently to ensure that our wines are nurtured through each step of production and that our facilities are kept immaculately clean and sanitary.
Our Wines
Our award-winning wines are perfect for pairing with locally produced cheese and sausage, which can be enjoyed on our outdoor wine terrace or in our Wine & Beer Garden. The garden features a spectacular 10-foot grapevine-covered arbor above a peaceful fountain, craft beers, and free live weekend entertainment from April to October.
