Our Story
With over 30 years of experience fishing Lake Michigan, Captain Dan Wheeler has built a reputation for delivering exceptional fishing charters. Growing up fishing the waters of Lake Michigan, Captain Dan was taught the craft of big water trout and salmon fishing from his father, an accomplished Lake Michigan angler. Today, he shares his intricate knowledge, insight, and passion for Great Lakes fishing with his customers.
Our Services
KingFin Charters offers customized fishing charters tailored to meet the needs of each group. We provide 5, 6, and 8-hour charters departing from Waukegan Harbor, twice a day. Our charters cater to groups of 2 to 6 passengers, and we recommend 6-hour charters during peak fishing seasons.
Our Boat
The KINGFIN is a 36-foot Wellcraft 330 Coastal, boasting twin 454 Mercruisers and the latest marine electronics and fishing tackle. Our vessel is annually inspected and United States Coast Guard approved, ensuring a safe and successful fishing experience.
