Sherwood Dance Academy (SDA) is more than just a dance studio; it's a home away from home. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where students can dance, learn, laugh, make friends, and thrive. When you join SDA, you become part of a family - a community of dancers, parents, and staff who support and encourage each other. Together, we seek the artistry, creativity, and strength of dance.

At SDA, we believe that anyone who wants to dance should be able to dance. Our classes cater to students of all ages and skill levels, from introducing dance to children aged 2-5 with our Jump Start program, to building a strong foundation in Acro, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap for students aged 5 and above. We offer Classical Advanced Ballet & Pointe for students aged 9 and above, and our performing company, Showstoppers, is open to students aged 6 and above.

Our Studio

SDA first opened its doors in Old Town in 2001, with a handful of students, a single classroom, and a vision to share our passion for dance with the growing town. Today, we are proud to have an amazing dance family that includes hundreds of students, 12 staff members, three classrooms, and over 60 classes offered each week.

At SDA, we believe that dance is for everyone, and we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to nurturing the potential of every student, regardless of their skill level or background. We are proud of the strong community we have built, and we are dedicated to continuing to provide a place where students can work hard, gain new skills and friends, and share their passion for dance.

As a new student joining the studio, if you decide we aren't the right fit for you in the first month of classes and wish to withdraw, you will be refunded some or all of your tuition payment.
