Our History

J. Mori Painting, Inc. was established in 1956 by Jose F. Mori, an immigrant from Cuba who embarked on a journey to build a successful business from humble beginnings. Arriving in the United States with limited resources and facing language barriers, Jose began his career with small-scale handyman work and residential painting projects in Miami. Through unrelenting hard work and dedication, Jose steadily expanded his company's scope, gradually taking on larger, more demanding projects that showcased his growing expertise.

His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic cultivated a solid foundation for J. Mori Painting, Inc., paving the way for the next generation. In the early 1980s, Jose's son, Joe L. Mori, and nephew, Carlos Placeres, joined the company full-time, ushering in an era of significant growth. Under their visionary leadership, J. Mori Painting, Inc. transformed from a small commercial painting company into a prominent player in Florida's commercial, industrial, and infrastructure coating sector. Their strategic vision propelled the company beyond Florida's borders, expanding its operations throughout the Southeast United States, encompassing states like Georgia and Alabama.

Although Jose F. Mori is no longer with us, his spirit and founding principles continue to guide the company's success.
