Our Story

At Dalvino Wine Company, our passion for crafting exceptional wines is deeply rooted in our Italian heritage. For generations, the art of winemaking has been a cherished tradition passed down through our family. The story of Dalvino began in the heart of Pennsylvania's coal-mining region, Kulpmont, where our founder, Charlie Dalpiaz, developed a love for wine at a young age.

Charlie vividly recalls his grandfather, Camillo Dalpiaz, a first-generation Italian immigrant, meticulously crafting wine in their family cellar. These childhood memories, filled with the aroma of fermenting grapes and the warm hum of tradition, ignited a passion within Charlie that would blossom into a lifelong pursuit. As Charlie grew older, he continued to hone his winemaking skills, following in the footsteps of his beloved grandfather. His son, Niccolo, became engrossed in this fascinating world at a very young age, spending countless hours in the cellar observing his father's meticulous craft. Driven by an unwavering commitment to excellence, Niccolo pursued formal education in Enology and Viticulture, bringing a modern approach and scientific understanding to the family tradition.

Together, Charlie and Niccolo form the heart of Dalvino Wine Company, blending traditional Italian methods with contemporary winemaking techniques. Their shared passion and dedication to quality have resulted in a collection of distinctive wines that reflect the unique character of Pennsylvania's cool climate and the rich heritage of their Italian ancestors.
