Established in 1871, the Milwaukee Yacht Club holds the honor of being the oldest premier yacht club on Lake Michigan. Our club is a proud member of the "Yacht Clubs of America" and has a unique shared reciprocity agreement with "The University Club of Milwaukee" and other respected country and city clubs. Our Skylark Bar, with its lakeside patio, serves as the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the stunning views of Lake Michigan. We also offer complimentary kayaks and paddleboards, a heated pool and spa, and a wrap-around deck with bistro seating that provides panoramic views of the lake and the city skyline.

A Rich History of Resilience

The Milwaukee Yacht Club has a rich history of resilience and adaptability. From our humble beginnings on the shores of Lake Michigan to our current location in McKinley Marina, we have weathered many challenges, including the destruction of our first clubhouse by fire during World War II, and the construction of a new clubhouse in 1967. Through it all, we have remained a close-knit community where lifelong friendships are made, and a sense of belonging and camaraderie is fostered.

Looking to the Future

As we look to the future, we are committed to making improvements and enhancements to our club, including a two-year, $1.8 million project that added an in-ground heated pool and spa, and expanded the clubhouse. We are proud of our legacy and look forward to continuing to serve as a premier destination for boaters and lakeshore enthusiasts for many years to come.
