About Dr. Jeff McConnell

Dr. Jeff McConnell is a healer, educator, Air Force veteran, engineer, and athlete with a unique ability to combine multiple Eastern and Western therapies to help his patients achieve and maintain optimal health. With an extensive background in massage therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Western allopathic medicine, Dr. Jeff is dedicated to providing a personalized approach to healthcare.

Dr. Jeff holds a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine from the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, FL, and a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from the same institution. His advanced training in TCM in Beijing, China, has further enriched his understanding and skills in this field. As a board-certified Acupuncture Physician (AP2231) and licensed massage therapist (MA9200), Dr. Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Dr. Jeff's healing philosophy revolves around relieving pain, restoring balance, and cultivating a stronger mind-body connection. Patients describe him as having healing hands, great listening skills, and a kind heart. He is a natural educator who enjoys sharing his knowledge with his patients and the wider community. In addition to his work at Hands for Healing, Dr. Jeff teaches alternative medicine at Everglades University in Tampa, FL, and instructs at massage therapy schools, providing continuing education to nurses, yoga teachers, and other licensed health practitioners.

3. Massage Therapy: Our licensed massage therapists offer a range of massage techniques that promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension, and improve circulation. Our therapies include Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release.

4. Chinese Cupping: Chinese cupping involves the use of suction cups on the skin for various health benefits, including relaxation, increased blood flow, and reduced inflammation.

5. Continuing Education Courses: Hands for Healing is an approved CE provider by the Florida Boards of Nursing and Massage Therapy. We offer a variety of workshops and courses for healthcare professionals, including Reiki, Shiatsu, and other energy medicine modalities.
