Our Vision

Belair Cooperative Nursery School has been a cornerstone of the Bowie community since 1962. We believe in fostering a sense of community and providing young learners with a foundation for lifelong success. Through play-based learning and strong parent involvement, we nurture individual creativity, confidence, and a love of learning in a nurturing environment.

Our Approach to Education

Our curriculum focuses on holistic development, emphasizing social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. We achieve this through:

• Play-based learning: Engaging, age-appropriate activities allow children to explore their surroundings, experiment, and develop their skills through discovery.
• Creative exploration: We encourage arts & crafts, dramatic play, and musical exploration to foster imagination and self-expression.
• Individualized learning: We recognize each child's unique pace and learning style, providing targeted support and guidance.

3's Class (9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays)

• Develop core skills in colors, shapes, alphabet, numbers, and fine and gross motor skills.

4's Class (9:00 am - 1:30 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays)

• Focus on expanding literacy skills, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, first and last name recognition, and reciting personal information.

4/5's Class (9:00 am - 1:30 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays)

• Continue building upon the foundational skills learned in the 4's class, with a greater emphasis on storytelling and social interaction.
