We believe in building personal relationships between our pet sitters and your pets. That's why we assign one pet sitter to a household, allowing you and your pets to establish a strong bond with your pet sitter. You'll have direct access to your pet sitter's contact information, so you can check in on your pets anytime while you're away.

Dog Walking & Mid-Day Visits

Many pet owners face the challenge of leaving their pets alone for long hours during the day. At A Pet's Best Friend, we schedule our daily visits around you and your pet's needs. Morning, noon, or night, we are there when you need us. We strive to offer quality pet care at reasonable rates, recognizing that personalized, in-home pet care may not be in everyone's budget. However, we believe our rates are competitive and reflect our professionalism and high level of care that our pet sitters provide to your pets and home. A standard visit is 30 minutes in length, but we can accommodate longer times if needed.

In Home Pet Sitting

Thinking of kenneling your dog or cat during your next trip? According to the American Humane Society, pets are happiest when they are at home, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells, and protected from the stress and potential exposure to illness or accidents often encountered at many boarding facilities. A Pet's Best Friend offers Out-of-Town and Vacation Visits for when you need to leave town. We will come to your home and care for your pet while you are away, following your pet care routine per your instructions, including feeding, watering, exercising, and administering any medication your pet might require. And most importantly, we will play with your pet!

Benefits of In-Home Care for You:

• Eliminates the need to transport pets, avoids awkwardness in asking friends or family, and provides peace of mind, knowing your pet and home are both safe and secure.
• Allows pets to remain in their own secure environments where they can follow familiar eating, exercise routines, and can receive individualized, loving attention when they cannot be with their owners.

At-home pet care also benefits your pet's health and well-being by avoiding exposure to illnesses that can be transmitted at a kennel and eliminating the stress of staying at a kennel. A standard visit is 30 minutes in length, but longer times and overnights are available too. Dogs generally require 2-3 visits per day. Cats and other animals usually require 1-2 visits per day. Puppies should receive 3-4 visits per day.

We also provide basic home care services while you're gone, such as bringing in newspapers, flyers and mail, watering plants, alternating lights, adjusting blinds, and setting out or taking in trash receptacles.

Overnight Pet Sitting

Does your pet need added comfort while you're away? A Pet's Best Friend offers overnight stays to give your pet all of the benefits of Vacation Visits, with added companionship and security for your pet and your home throughout the night. Our Pet Sitter will arrive at 7 p.m. and depart at 7 a.m. the next morning. We can change the times based on your needs. Just let us know!

Communication

Your pet sitter will call or text on the first visit of every pet sitting assignment. This is just a courtesy call to let you know that the sitter has started pet sitting and that you can rest assured that your pets are being well cared for. If you would like more phone calls from your sitter or prefer a text or email, then just let them know.
