Our story began as a weekend business for Kathleen (Kathy) Erin Burke-Mihalczo and her husband, John T. Mihalczo Jr., on twelve acres of land just outside Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The farm has since grown into a thriving haven where fresh cut herbs, beautiful gardens, and herbal education programs come together to create an immersive experience for visitors.

The Growth of a Dream

In the early years, we started by selling fresh cut herbs at local farmers' markets. As our passion for herbs grew, so did our operations. We expanded our greenhouses, built herbal display gardens, and began offering educational programs on herb growing methods and culinary techniques. The interest in plant-based medicine also led us to become a local source for herbal medicine makers.

In 2005, we constructed the herb shop and kitchen classroom, further expanding our educational offerings. A large production garden was also built to grow herbs and vegetables used in our classes. That same year, we hosted our first wedding in the herb gardens, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the farm.
