Focus your mind, focus your life.
As a licensed psychologist, I, Dr. Chingyen Godwin, have been dedicated to providing individualized psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families for over two decades. With my extensive experience in psychology, I have developed a wide range of techniques and strategies to help address the unique concerns and needs of each individual. My approach is centered on creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences to achieve personal growth, healing, and positive change.
What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a highly individualized and personalized process that involves a collaborative effort between the therapist (me) and the patient. Unlike a visit to a primary care physician's office, psychotherapy requires an active participation of the patient in the therapy process. This means that clients will be expected to work on issues both during and outside our sessions to achieve the best possible outcomes. The benefits of psychotherapy have been well-documented in research and literature, including better relationships, increased life satisfaction, and improved stress tolerance. However, like any therapeutic process, it also involves risks, and it is essential to be aware of these potential risks.
