After School Karate Academy

The After School Karate Academy is a well-established facility in Bowie, Maryland, that has been serving the community since 1970. We specialize in providing a wide range of services that cater to the physical, intellectual, and social development of children. Our daily programs include Karate, Tae Kwon Do classes, after-school care, homework assistance, advanced tutorials, recreational activities, and summer programs for children aged 4 and up.

Our Services

• *Before & After School*: Our before and after-school program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children while their parents are at work. We offer transportation, homework assistance, and recreational activities that help children develop social skills and build self-confidence.

• *Summer Camp*: Our summer camp program is a fun and exciting way for children to spend their summer break. We offer a variety of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, field trips, and martial arts classes.

• *Virtual/Hybrid School Support*: We understand that remote learning can be challenging for both parents and children. That's why we offer virtual and hybrid school support to help children stay on track with their schoolwork. Our experienced teachers are here to provide one-on-one assistance and support.

• *Safe Transportation*: We provide safe transportation for children to and from school, as well as to and from our facilities. Our drivers are experienced and trained to ensure the safety of every child.

• *Homework Club*: Our homework club provides a quiet and structured environment for children to complete their homework. Our experienced teachers are here to provide assistance and support as needed.

• *Martial Arts*: Our martial arts classes are designed to teach children discipline, respect, and self-confidence. Our expert instructors use a combination of traditional and modern teaching methods to ensure that every child learns at their own pace.

Meet Our Instructors

Our instructors are committed to bringing out excellence in their students, both on and off the mat. They are experienced and trained to provide the best possible instruction to every child.

• *Jim Lashley*: Jim is a highly experienced martial arts instructor with over 30 years of teaching experience. He is a certified black belt and has won numerous awards and accolades for his teaching and coaching.

• *Jazmyne*: Jazmyne is a dedicated and passionate instructor who loves working with children. She is a certified black belt and has been teaching martial arts for over 10 years.

Our mission is to prepare and equip all students with the necessary skills to succeed and become productive members of society. We believe that martial arts is a powerful tool that can teach children discipline, respect, and self-confidence. We also believe that education is vital for the development of every child, and that's why we provide academic enrichment and support.
