Empowering inner happiness through spirituality and psychotherapy

The Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago has been providing psychotherapy services since 1965. Our mission is to alleviate suffering and improve lives through psychotherapy, while fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect for all individuals. We believe that our unique approach to psychotherapy, which integrates psychodynamic principles with an understanding of the spiritual and religious dimensions of human experience, sets us apart from other therapy centers.

Therapy Services

At the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago, we offer a range of clinical services, including individual and couples therapy, to individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds. Our therapists are trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy and are experienced in working with clients who are struggling with a variety of issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges and trauma.

Education Program

Our Education Program is designed for professionals who work in clinical- and pastoral-care settings, and who wish to deepen their understanding of psychoanalytic self psychology and/or the religious and spiritual dimensions of the therapeutic process. Our program is a two-year, part-time certification program that is tailored to meet the needs of busy professionals.

Consultation & Supervision

We also offer consultative services to individuals, couples, and groups, including churches, synagogues, mosques, and other organizations. Our staff members are experienced in facilitating workshops, retreats, and lectures on a range of topics related to the spiritual and psychological dimensions of life.

Diversity & Inclusion

At the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago, we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all individuals, regardless of their background, religion, sexual orientation, or financial means. We believe that this commitment is essential to our mission of alleviating suffering and improving lives through psychotherapy.
