Dynamic, creative, and energized is what Shannon Rush Dance aims to be as a dance studio. For us, it's all about movement as an art form. And for four decades, we've worked to involve, teach, and inspire dancers of all kinds and lovers of movement. We are on a mission to bring dance and expression to a wider audience. Sharing dance is ultimately our goal - it's a way to narrate a story, connect with others, engage people, and express creativity. Most of all, dance is about freedom, imagination, and letting go - for dancers and audiences alike.

Two Locations, One Family

We are made up of two studios located in Olney and Damascus, Maryland. We believe that dance is an art, and when learned properly, there is no limit to what a young dancer can achieve. Our mission is to provide families and dancers with the most fun and positive dance experience possible. We strive to combine dance with family and community. We take great pride in our family of dancers as well as in our community outreach events. We are committed to teaching dance in a safe and fun environment, creating a unique experience for every dancer. Our staff is qualified to develop the abilities and confidence of each dancer, allowing them to carry out a lifetime of dance.

At Shannon Rush Dance, our goal is to nurture and motivate children in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our talented and experienced instructors are dedicated to fostering a love of dance while providing exceptional training. We offer a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels, from introductory ballet to advanced jazz and hip-hop.

In addition to our regular classes, we also offer specialized programs such as our competitive dance team, summer camps, and dance intensives. Our competitive dance team provides dancers with the opportunity to showcase their skills on a larger stage, while our summer camps offer a fun and engaging way to improve dance technique and build camaraderie. Our dance intensives provide a focused and intensive learning experience for serious dancers, allowing them to refine their skills and explore new styles.
