Flossmoor Golf Club has been a staple of the Midwest golfing community since its founding in 1899. As one of the first courses built in the region, our classic parkland course has withstood the test of time, offering a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities. Our rich history is marked by legendary players such as Alex Smith, Jock Hutchinson, Chick Evans, and Frances Ouimet, who have all teed off at our historic course.

The Course

Our 14 original hole corridors, built in 1899, have been restored to their former glory, providing a unique and challenging golfing experience. Our restored course features numerous doglegs, strategically placed bunkers, and undulating greens, requiring precision and skill to navigate. From the historic "Road Hole" to the picturesque "Glen, " each hole is designed to test even the most experienced golfers.

About Our Restoration

In 2009, renowned architect Raymond Hearn led the restoration of our course, bringing it back to its original glory. Hearn, a designer with a keen eye for detail, worked tirelessly to preserve the course's historic integrity while introducing modern touches. The result is a course that is both challenging and enjoyable, with vistas that showcase the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
