Our History: Over 50 Years of Traditional Taekwondo

Our school is associated with Kim's United Taekwondo-Karate Centers, which was founded by Great Grandmaster Hong Sik Kim in 1969. With over 50 schools across several states, we are committed to continuing the legacy of Great Grandmaster Kim by practicing traditional Taekwondo. Kim's Taekwon-Do Forest Grove is one of the longest standing martial arts schools west of Portland, and we are proud to uphold the values and teachings that have made Kim's Taekwon-Do a respected and renowned institution for over 50 years.

What We Teach: Traditional Non-Contact Taekwondo

As a family friendly studio, we welcome all ages and genders to practice together in a non-contact environment. Our focus is on self-control, self-development, self-discipline, and respect, which are integral to the practice of traditional Taekwondo. By training in a non-contact environment, students learn to control themselves both mentally and physically, without fear of injury. Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors make learning fun, promote positive bonding experiences, and encourage self-confidence, healthy habits, and academic success.

Our Class Schedule: Regular Practice for All

Our class schedules are designed to allow students to practice regularly throughout the week. With classes available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6pm to 7:30pm, there are plenty of opportunities for students to learn and master Taekwondo. Our experienced black belt instructors are dedicated to propelling the art, and they provide personalized attention and guidance to help students reach their full potential.
