Learning Bee

Welcome to The Learning Bee, a preschool and child care center located in Frederick, MD. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education to children, and we are proud to have received the top rating of 5 from Maryland EXCELS, the state's quality rating and improvement system for child care and early education programs.

At The Learning Bee, we believe that childhood is a time for wonder, exploration, and growth. Our programs are designed to support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children, and we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive.

Our Services

We offer a range of programs to meet the needs of children and families in our community. Our infant, toddler, and preschool programs provide age-appropriate activities and experiences that support the development of young children. We also offer a free preschool program for eligible families, as well as Pre-K and summer camp programs.

Safety and Security

The safety and security of your child is our top priority. Our facility is equipped with tall privacy fences and fenced-in perimeters to shield street visibility, and we have vigilant, highly trained teachers who keep a constant watch on your child. Security cameras add an extra layer of security, and we have strict policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care.

Experienced and Qualified Teachers

Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, and they hold Maryland State Public School Teaching Certificates, Bachelor's degrees, Associate degrees, Child Development Associate (CDA), and Pre-School Teaching Certificates. All Lead Teachers are Credentialed through the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), which requires additional professional development training.

Enrichment Activities

We believe that enrichment activities are an important part of a well-rounded education, and we offer a range of activities to engage and stimulate children's minds. Our programs include music, yoga, and Spanish, and we regularly incorporate enrichment activities into our daily curriculum.

Health and Nutrition

We are committed to promoting the health and well-being of children, and we provide fresh, healthy meals and snacks for children in our care. We have an on-site chef who prepares hot lunches and snacks using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Children also have the opportunity to tend a garden and eat the vegetables they grow.

Partnership with Parents

We believe that partnership with parents is essential to the success of our programs, and we welcome parent involvement and engagement. We have a parent committee, the Better Together Committee, which provides opportunities for parents to share their talents and support initiatives such as coat drives and Blessings in a Backpack.
