Academic Advantage

The Academic Advantage is a leading educational institution dedicated to providing high-quality tutoring services to students in grades K-12. Founded in 2000 by Mark Berookim and Michael Berookim, both UCLA Alumni, we have successfully tutored tens of thousands of students and earned acclaim from parents, educators, and lawmakers for our exceptional tutoring programs.

Our mission is to provide personalized educational support to each student, helping them achieve their full potential in academics and beyond. We believe that every child can excel with the right guidance and resources. Therefore, we offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, including one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, test preparation, and courses for credit.

Parent Funded Programs

Our Parent Funded Programs are designed to provide highly specialized, one-on-one tutoring to students. These programs cater to privately paying clients who require personalized attention in academic tutoring, including foreign languages, standardized test preparation, and courses for credit. By focusing on the individual needs of each student, our private tutors are able to deliver the most effective tutoring available.

Government Funded Programs

In addition to our Parent Funded Programs, we also offer Government Funded Programs. These programs are provided in a one-on-one setting or at school in a group setting to eligible students in grades K-12. They are aligned with state standards and aim to build grade-level competence in English Language Arts (including reading) and Mathematics.
