Tarpan Construction, LLC (Tarpan) is a dynamic, strong, and well-established general contractor based in Louisiana. Our mission is to strive for excellence in quality and continuously innovate by utilizing advanced technologies.

As a young and growing company, we have already established ourselves as a reliable and efficient construction company. We specialize in heavy civil construction projects and offer a wide range of services, including but not limited to levee work, coastal restoration, emergency response, highway streets & bridges, construction material supply, building construction, concrete foundation and structure, equipment rental, underground utilities, and design-build projects.

Our team consists of experienced professionals who are dedicated to working closely with our clients to ensure the successful completion of each project every step of the way.

Our Projects

We take pride in the projects we undertake, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Some of our recent projects include:

1. USFWS D/B Felsenthal NWR Turning Lane: This project involved the construction of a deceleration lane to safely allow vehicles turning into the headquarters' driveway the ability to move out of the travel lane and decelerate sufficiently to make a right-hand turn.

2. Shell Beach - Shoreline Protection: This project called for approximately three miles of shoreline protection along Shell Beach in St. Bernard Parish.

3. USFWS D/B Poole Road Rehab: Tarpan Construction was the Prime Contractor on this Design-Build project. We teamed up with Ballard CLC for the design portion of the project.

4. MRL 416-R Levee Enlargement and Berms: Tarpan Construction, LLC is the Prime Contractor on this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project.

Tarpan Construction, LLC is a member of several prestigious organizations that support women in business and promote business development. These include:

1. WIPP (WOMAN IMPACTING PUBLIC POLICY): In 2014, Tarpan became a member of WIPP, which is the Voice for Women in Business in our Nation's Capital.

2. THE NATIONAL WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS CORPORATION: Since 2011, Tarpan has been a member of NWBOC, which has led the way for women business owners.

3. BUSINESS ACCELERATION SYSTEM: Tarpan joined BAS in 2011, which is dedicated to speeding the development of Central Louisiana entrepreneurs.

News

Tarpan Construction, LLC is always growing and evolving. Here are some of our recent news and achievements:

1. 8a Certified: On March 23, 2015, SBA welcomed Tarpan Construction, LLC as a member of their 8a Program. Tarpan owner, Trudy Poret, worked relentlessly on preparing and submitting the 8a application. The process from start to finish took approximately 14 months.

2. Member of MVAGC: On August 26, 2015, Tarpan Construction became a member of The Mississippi Valley Branch of the Associated General Contractors of America. We are very excited to be a member of this outstanding organization.
