Our History

JOY Real Estate has grown with the Upstate. We sold our first home more than 40 years ago. Since that time, we have sold more than $2 billion in total home sales-making us the largest, privately owned real estate agency in the region. And we remain dedicated to our original vision: to be a comprehensive resource for families and individuals-for all their real estate needs.

Our story began with Joy Bailey, who founded the company at a time when people thought "a woman can't cut it in real estate." But Joy proved them wrong, and today we stand as a testament to her hard work and dedication. We understand that success is based on hard work and a can-do attitude.
