Ballet Classes
Our ballet program develops technical precision and artistic expression through structured training. Students learn foundational techniques while building strength, flexibility, and performance skills. Classes follow age-appropriate progressions to ensure proper development.
Jazz Dance
Jazz instruction combines technical training with creative expression. Students explore various jazz styles while developing rhythm, coordination, and performance quality in a dynamic environment.
Contemporary Dance

Sue Hewitt
Owner/Artistic Director
Founder Sue Hewitt has over 25 years of dance education experience. She studied at IUP and Point Park University, performed with Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, and continues professional development through workshops and master classes.
Abigail Hewitt O'Rourke
Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pointe Teacher
Abigail holds a BA in Dance from Slippery Rock University and has performed with Bryn Cohn + Artists. She brings professional experience from New York City dance institutions and modeling agencies to her teaching.
Monica DeLoreto
Team Dance and Jazz Teacher
Monica trained at SHDS for 12 years before earning her education degrees. She combines dance expertise with teaching experience as both a studio instructor and former IHS Dance Team coach.

When should I register for dance classes?
Registration opens August 1st annually. Contact us via email for assistance with class selection and scheduling.
What are the class size policies?
Classes are grouped by age with flexible divisions based on enrollment. Most students progress with their peer group.
Do you offer summer dance programs?
We provide intensive summer workshops for advanced students featuring guest artists and specialized training.
What performance opportunities exist?
Our annual recital features two shows with multiple dance styles. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory.
How are tuition payments handled?
Monthly payments from September through May accepted via automatic withdrawal, check, or cash with family discounts available.
What dancewear is required?
Specific dress codes apply by class type. We host an annual dancewear sale and provide purchasing guidance.
