History

The story of Jones & Roberts Co. began in 1965 as a joint venture between Frank Roberts, of Concrete Construction Company, and Lewis Jones Sr., of Dolph Jones Construction Company. Their first project, a testament to their ambition and capability, involved constructing concrete spillways for Mayfield Dam in Lewis County for Tacoma City Light. This challenging project, completed in a six-month timeframe with crews working around the clock, demanded ingenuity and perseverance.

Following the success of the Mayfield Dam project, the joint venture embarked on another ambitious endeavor - the construction of the new Oliver Hazen High School in Renton, Washington. This project, completed in 1967, solidified their reputation for delivering large-scale projects with exceptional quality and within tight deadlines.

From these early successes, Jones & Roberts Co. has evolved into a powerhouse in the construction industry, undertaking a wide range of projects throughout Southwest Washington.
