Our story began in 1978 when chef Jimmy Chung immigrated from Taiwan to the United States and found himself working as a chef in a small Chinese restaurant in New York. Coincidentally, a sweet charming lady named Melissa immigrated from Taiwan to the United States and found herself working in the same restaurant as a waitress. Soon after they met, they married and moved to Colorado where they shared their dream of opening up their very own restaurant.
In 1993, United Chinese Restaurant became a family-owned restaurant, which first originated in Westminster, Colorado. With Melissa's charming personality and Chef Jimmy's 37 years of cooking experience, they continue to maintain the quality of their food and the experience of their customers for over 22 years at their current location in Thornton. Our restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes, including Chinese cuisine, sushi, and Thai food, ensuring that there's something for everyone to enjoy.
